Mariana flees her hometown after clashing with her mother, Laura, over Jorge, her mother’s controlling partner, whom Mariana sees as a manipulative opportunist. She rebuilds her life opening a restaurant that employs abused women. But when her mother, falls ill and, Mariana is forced to go back and leave her restaurant.

Back in her hometown, she faces Jorge’s tightening grip on the family’s coffee factory and his hold over her vulnerable mother. She also reconnects with JD, a childhood friend accused of Mariana´s father’s death, awakening past feelings. As tensions mount and a mysterious attack puts her in danger, Mariana must confront buried secrets, long-held grudges, and a past that refuses to stay buried…
