THE SHOT

A little more than 200 years ago, the health intervention tool that has saved the most lives throughout history made its appearance: the vaccine. The Shot reviews the history of vaccines and some of the most important milestones achieved in their short existence. It shows their success against previously lethal diseases, as well as how they work and how they have changed our society. It discusses the hoaxes that, from the beginning, have accompanied vaccines. And it highlights something little known to the population: the possible and novel benefits of vaccines for adults.
All from the hands of prestigious scientists and doctors who, with data and rigor, demonstrate how vaccines have changed the world, and will continue to do so.
