Onza Distribution adds up Wakai’s sports documentaries to its catalogue

Onza Distribution will represent sports documentaries produced by Wakai & Prime Video Spain: ‘FC Barcelona: A New Era’ (S1: 5×40′, S2: 4×40′, 2022-2023), ‘Marc Márquez: All In’ (5×40′, 2023), ‘Simeone: Living Match By Match’ (6×40′, 2021). This marks the start of a promising new collaboration between international sales agency Onza Distribution and production company Wakai.

‘FC Barcelona: A New Era’, spanning two seasons, recollects the club’s most difficult and turbulent years until they reclaim the lost throne. The team is undergoing a total reconstruction process with a single goal: to win again. Xavi’s arrival to lead the change, the new world-class signings, the emerging young talents, and the definitive adaptation of the rest of the squad allow this team to aspire to everything. The fans regain the lost excitement thanks to the successful achievements during the 21-22 and 22-23 seasons.

‘Marc Márquez: All In’ introduces us to a decisive moment in the career of the Moto GP star. In this documentary, we see how he will have to take drastic measures to try to win again. The series illustrates firsthand a decisive year in Marc’s life and career. The fear, the risk, the suffering, the excitement of the races, and the infinite ambition of that who wants to be a champion again.

‘Simeone: Living Match By Match’ showcases the achievements in Diego Pablo Simeone’s stellar career as a player and coach of Atlético de Madrid, globally recognized for his unique way of understanding soccer. “Cholismo” is not just about tactics, but rather a philosophy in life.

Onza Distribution will bring these novelties to international clients at the upcoming markets, such as MIPDOC and MIPTV next April. Among the three Wakai sports titles, other documentaries will be accessible to MIPTV assistants through MIPDOC videolibrary, such as ‘Young Addictions’, ‘Wild Tales Of Madrid’, ‘Real Madrid: The White Legend’ or ‘Francis! The Pope Of Surprises’.

Alongside them, new additions like the highly anticipated thriller ‘Heartless’, produced by Onza, the Czech period drama ‘Golden Swan’ or the new seasons of ‘Flowers Over The Inferno’ and ‘Sweet Strawberries’ will be headlining.
