Eduardo, a psychologist pretending to be a psychic, is unmasked by his ex-wife, with whom he was trying to reconcile. Humiliated and depressed, he returns to his homeland and moves into a practically empty building.
Soon after, he meets a woman who lives in the building and they begin a relationship. Then Eduardo begins to witness strange phenomena: he can see and communicate with the dead. Eduardo discovers that he has psychic abilities after all, and that the line separating the world of the living from the afterlife is thinner than it seems.
