WOMEN IN REVOLUTION

The mobilization of men for the Colonial War, on the verge of April 25th, propels four women from different backgrounds into a tentative journey of emancipation, social and political struggle. Only friendship can help them in another war – the war against the oppression of the dictatorship and a society that saw them merely as mothers, wives, and housewives. “Women in Revolution” became the battle cry of a generation of women seeking their emancipation and fighting for a fairer and more equal country. It is the story of anonymous heroines that deserves to be remembered and celebrated as a testament to the power of female solidarity and the fight for fundamental rights and freedoms.
