Onza Distribution is Assigned as the Global Sales Agent for the New Crime Series Neuer.

Neuer, the new procedural crime series from Slovak company KFS Production, is now part of Onza Distribution’s international catalog. Directed by Michal Kollár, the series is based on Václav Neuer’s bestselling novels and consists of eight 60-minute episodes. The series premiered on September 14 on TV JOJ and it was a resounding success, ranking as the most watched show of the night achieving a 24% audience share.
“We are thrilled to have Onza Distribution join us even before the local premiere in Slovakia and Czechia of our new miniseries Neuer”, commented Michal Kollár, showrunner and director of the series, and Jana Kluková, producer at KFS Production. “This collaboration highlights the truly distinctive nature of the project, with each episode bringing a single book to life in a bold and faithful adaptation. Having Onza on board is a powerful recognition of the global yet local quality of our work and the creative vision behind the series.”
Each episode of Neuer is inspired by a bestselling novel by Václav Neuer, all of them rooted in real criminal cases. The series delivers a raw and unvarnished portrayal of police work within the regional homicide division: Chief Inspector Ledecký’s (Marián Miezga) team members face not only the most everyday crimes, but also the emotional toll these cases take on their personal lives.
“Neuer is a procedural crime thriller with outstanding production values, supported by a strong IP, as each episode is based on a best-selling novel inspired by a real case”, said Erika Gómez, Head of Sales at Onza Distribution. “This reflects the quality and ambition of the best European audiovisual productions.”
With a direct and realistic style, Neuer captures the authentic essence of true crime, balancing the tension of each investigation with the humanity of its protagonists, defined by camaraderie and the constant struggle to remain sane amid everyday violence. This blend of real-life cases and noir narrative creates an unfiltered experience: raw, honest, and stripped of glamour. Just coffee, cigarette smoke, and the cold reality of justice.
“I am deeply grateful to the producers Michal Kollár and Jana Kluková for placing their trust in Onza Distribution to handle the global sales of this series”, added Erika Gómez. “Collaborations like this showcase the strength of European creative talent working together to bring the best content that resonates with audience worldwide.”
At the upcoming edition of MIPCOM, Neuer will be showcased alongside other titles from the distributor’s diverse catalog, including the telenovela Heart Keeper, the comedy Traffic Jam, and Onza’s new documentary series, Vulnerables.

The series is produced by Nostromo Pictures in association with SkyShowtime and was created by Eduard Sola, who also serves as showrunner alongside Miguel Ángel Faura. The cast is led by Sílvia Abril (‘Alimañas’) and Pablo Capuz (‘Merlí. Sapere Aude’), along with Mona Martínez (‘La novia gitana’) and Clara Sans (‘Cardo’).
Onza Distribution has reached an agreement to sell the adaptation rights for El Hormiguero (The Anthill), one of the most successful television shows in the history of Spanish and Latin American TV. The deal was struck with OLGA, a new live-streaming platform and one of the most-watched channels among young people in Argentina.

Onza Distribution presents the second season of the highly anticipated series ‘Flowers Over the Inferno’ in Cannes, a TV audience success in Italy during its first season. The Spanish international distributor also announces the addition of several new documentaries for MIPCOM, including ‘Iberia and Savannah: One Wildlife’ and ‘A Woman 24/7’.
The first season of ‘Flowers Over the Inferno’ was a major success in Italy, leading prime time during the premiere of its first episode. Throughout the season, the series had over 25% of share on average, with 5 million viewers. This second season promises to maintain the level of intrigue and suspense that captivated audiences. It is set to premiere on October 28, 2024, on the Italian channel Rai 1, with six new 60-minute episodes. In this new season, Teresa Battaglia’s team, along with Massimo Marini, faces the mysterious murder of a young policewoman. As the investigation progresses, they discover the crime is linked to a long-lost painting, The Sleeping Nymph, painted with the blood of an unknown woman.
This agreement with Mediaset follows Onza Distribution‘s successful sale of the show’s ready made version to Estrella TV in the United States earlier this year. After several years of negotiations in Italy, Onza Distribution has finalized an agreement with Mediaset this month to adapt ‘The Anthill’ for the Italian market. This format has already been successfully adapted in several countries, including Brazil, Mexico, and Portugal.
‘The Anthill’ (‘El Hormiguero’) is the most successful prime time show in Spain, accumulating 18 seasons since its inception in 2006. Hosted by Pablo Motos, it airs on Antena 3 four times a week. The production company of ‘The Anthill,’ 7 y Acción, has also created other successful shows that are included in the Onza Distribution catalog. Among them are ‘The Celeb Challenge,’ prime time leader on Fridays with 4 seasons aired in Spain, and ‘The Way Home,’ a format recently acquired by Telefe Argentina. For its Italian version of ‘The Anthill,’ Mediaset is working on a weekly prime time broadcast on its channel Italia 1.
